We're looking for a new teammate for our front desk and office

We're a small Prague company – since 2006 we've been rescuing data from failed hard drives, RAID arrays, NAS boxes, SSDs and phones, and managing IT for businesses. There are just a few of us and we work more like a tight-knit crew than a corporation. We're now looking for someone to take care of our front desk, handle incoming and outgoing jobs, and keep the office running the way it should.

What you'd be doing

• being the first point of contact for our clients – in person, over the phone and by e-mail; taking in jobs and handing them back
• everyday communication with clients in both Czech and English – you'll use English regularly, so you need it at a conversational level
• receiving and sending parcels
• keeping the office running – and yes, that includes the everyday bits: vacuuming in the morning, doing the dishes and, above all, keeping the coffee machine alive. Our company kind of runs on coffee, so making coffee for the team and our clients is an (absolutely essential) part of the job.

In short, the person who holds the office together and the first face our clients see when they walk in.

Don't worry, it's not a demanding job or an eight-hour grind – quite the opposite. You'll have some spare time too, and if you enjoy it, we'd love for you to put it to good use and get involved in other things. You could, for instance, help develop our website and social media – and boost your earnings along the way.

Who we're looking for

• a reliable, responsible person who takes ownership of their work
• Czech and English at a conversational level
• someone who doesn't mind the mix – from dealing with clients to everyday office care
• ideally someone looking for calm, stable, long-term work
• it's a plus if you're based nearby – we're in Břevnov (Prague 6, Pod Marjánkou 4), with excellent public transport links
